Pokesdown sits east of Boscombe along Christchurch Road, with its own station on the Waterloo line and a tight grid of Victorian terraces. Airport pickups here are often from the streets off Seabourne Road and Southbourne Road rather than the high street, because the Christchurch Road lights and the one-way scraps around the station eat time. Being east of town, you are closer to the A338 via Iford than a Westbourne pickup is — useful for Heathrow and Gatwick. The station is a clean meeting point if the house has no kerb space. This is not Southbourne clifftop and it is not Boscombe pier; those are separate pins.
Seabourne Road side streets or Pokesdown station beat the Christchurch Road lights. Not the same pickup as Boscombe pier or Southbourne Grove.
