Transfers from Oakdale
Oakdale is the residential belt north of Poole Park, along Wimborne Road and out toward Vicarage Road and Oakdale Road. You are close to the town centre without the quay parking or the Twin Sails lifts, which is why a lot of our Poole Heathrow work actually starts here rather than on the waterfront. The catch is the school run: Wimborne Road toward Constitution Hill slows between 8 and 9am, and again at 3pm. For a 4am pickup that does not matter; for a mid-morning Gatwick run we add ten minutes or leave via Dorchester Road. Several roads share names with Parkstone streets, so we confirm the postcode, not just the house number.
Confirm BH15 not BH14 — Oakdale and Parkstone share street names. Wimborne Road is slower at school times; we often leave via Dorchester Road instead.
Oakdale is part of Poole (BH15). Drivers here use the A31, A338 or A350 depending on the airport — the notes on this page are for this neighbourhood, not a copied town blurb.
