Fairmile runs north from Christchurch along Fairmile Road toward St Catherine’s Hill, above the old town and the water meadows. It is the neighbourhood you want if you live in BH23 but not in the Priory streets: easier parking, a straight line to the A35, and none of the Bargates one-way. St Catherine’s Hill itself is a mix of housing and the hill — some addresses are a steep pull that we confirm for a loaded MPV. For Heathrow we are on the A35 quickly; for BOH we go north toward Hurn rather than south to the harbour. Jumpers is the western neighbour; Burton is across the river.
Fairmile Road or the hill address — flag a steep drive if we are in an MPV. We leave north to the A35, not down into Castle Square.
