Christchurch Bypass overnight closures to 19 September
Christchurch Bypass closed overnight 8pm to 6am, 14 to 19 September. How late Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch pickups are timed around it.
The Christchurch Bypass is closed overnight 8pm to 6am for five nights of highway maintenance, from the evening of Monday 14 September through early Saturday 19 September, between Fountain Roundabout and Stony Lane Roundabout. The Bournemouth Echo confirms that window (not the older 14–18 September framing).
That hits late Christchurch locals and late Bournemouth Airport runs via Somerford and Stony Lane. Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch pickups that would normally use the bypass in those hours should allow extra time. Christchurch Bypass (Fountain–Stony Lane) closes overnight 8pm–6am through early Saturday 19 September — please allow extra time for late pickups.
How we plan airport runs around roadworks
When there are closures on the A35 through Christchurch, Somerford and Stony Lane, we check the published dates and diversion before each early or late pickup and set the pickup time to allow for it. You do not need to work out the diversion yourself; just make sure we have your flight time.
- Early flights: if your pickup falls inside a closure window, we may collect you a little earlier.
- Late arrivals: for flights landing late in the evening, we plan the drive home around any overnight closures.
- Check current roadworks: live information for Dorset roads is published by the council and National Highways, and the dates in news reports can change.

If you have a late pickup in that window, Book now or call 01202 028334 and we will time the run around the closures.
