This guide is for you. Taxi vs train vs coach

• Pre-booked private transfer — door to door from Arrivals to your BCP address. Fixed fare in pounds; bags stay with you; no changes.
• Train — Tube/Elizabeth line or Gatwick Express into London, then South Western / CrossCountry toward Bournemouth or Poole. Sometimes cheaper solo; more luggage hassle and changes; you still need a taxi or walk at the Dorset end.
• National Express / coach — coach from Heathrow or Gatwick toward the south coast. Lowest cash fare; slower; set stops; not door to door.

If you are a family, a couple with cases, or you land late, the private transfer is usually the calm option. Solo travellers on a tight budget sometimes take the train or coach and book a short local pickup — we can do that leg too once you are in BCP.

Getting from Heathrow or Gatwick to Sandbanks and BCP

Published off-peak clocks from the live Heathrow hub: Christchurch about 90 minutes · Bournemouth about 95 · Poole about 100 · Sandbanks about 105. Gatwick is a similar story with a different motorway finish (A31–M27–M3–M25–M23). Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings on the M25 can add 30–45 minutes — we build that into timing, not into a surprise meter.

• We drive on the left; you sit back. Bags go in the boot.
